Life is hectic, and it might be tough to find a few moments to pause and be still in order to meditate. But mix it with a cup of tea, and peace beckons.....
TRY A TEA MEDITATION.…….
Perhaps in your drawing room, sitting room, kitchen, bedroom, or garden.....
From the time you make room for a tea meditation, become aware of each step: the selection of tea, the pouring of water, and the sensations that transport you from the outside world to the inner realm .....and into a state of clarity and equilibrium.....
Give your complete attention to the preparation, and when the tea is ready, retire to your quiet meditation spot..... Sit down with a cup of tea. . Be completely present. Breathe. Take note of the color of the tea, the rising steam, and any bubbles that appear…
With a peaceful and open heart, concentrate on the present moment.
Feel thankful for this cup of tea, for its healing and insights.....
Sit calmly...... Drink your tea slowly and deliberately.
Squeeze out little sips. At this moment, breathe purposefully but without effort, and feel relaxed. If necessary, sigh. Allow any care or world-weariness to fall away.....
As you sip your tea, pay attention to any ideas, emotions, feelings, or sensations that arise. Recognize them without absorbing or clinging to them, and without passing judgment, before returning your attention to the tea.....
Pay attention to the sensation of being present in a place where there is silence, deep serenity, and a caring sense of being welcomed at this moment....... Allow the tea meditation to conclude naturally.
After you've finished your last sip, softly set the cup down and sit quietly for a few moments….
